Greetings from The Green Project of Long Island. We are a non-for-profit organization that seeks to educate the public on what it means to be Green. Greening can take on many forms in our world today. But there is a lot of "Green Washing" going on by simply saying you are green and you are aware of this movement. Everywhere you look, whether it be on tv or the journalism world of newspapers, you see Go Green or service industry turning their products into safer more efficient this or that. At The Green Project of Long Island, its our number one goal to educate, dessiminate and create a whole new way of passing on Greening to the human race. We are partnered with National Grid, LIPA, ACE Hardware Stores (15) on LI, LIGREEN.com, GreenStLI, TP Exterminators, Mortgage Enterprises, Wells Fargo, Blackstone Mortgage, The Ocean Press, Evers Place, Engage Partners, CytexOne, & A vast growing list of Green Suppliers who make or manufacture Green Products.

The Green Project of Long Island will host its 1st Green Seminar entitled: "What does it mean to be Green on Wednesday August 5, 2009 from 6-9pm at Evers Place 949 W. Beech Street, Long Beach, NY 11561. Refreshments & Giveaways. The list of panelists is phenominal and if you miss this seminar, don't worry, there are more to be announced here on our blog and elsewhere throughout the city of Long Beach.
